Canada, The CIA, and MKULTRA

Project MKULTRA was the name of an illegal mind control program that was undertaken by the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Those involved in the programs were continually subjected to things like high doses of drug treatments, electroshock therapies, and drug-induced sleep comas. Many thousands of people were subjected to unethical experimentation's that took place until the program was officially halted. The experiments also didn't only take place in the United States, some ended-up being exported to Canada.

It was later uncovered that the Canadian government was likely fully aware that the CIA had funded Scottish psychiatrist Donald Ewen Cameron to be the one to undertake the initiative up north. Cameron conducted his work at the Allan Memorial Institute of McGill University and he was paid tens of thousands of dollars in order to carry out the unethical experiments. It is alleged that Cameron didn't know that the money was coming from the CIA because he received it from a front organization which was called the Society for the Investigation of Human Ecology.

Dr. Cameron had also been a member of the Nuremberg medicinal tribunal in the 40s and eventually headed the American and Canadian psychiatric associations and was the first chairman of the World Psychiatric Association.
