U.S. Marshalls Are Now Arresting College Graduates Who Don’t Pay Their Student Loans

It might sound like an exaggeration, but it’s not The US Marshals Service has begun arresting college graduates who have not paid their outstanding federal student loans.
In Houston, Texas Paul Aker was arrested at his home just last week and it was all over an unpaid sum of $1500 from a federal student loan he received all the way back in 1987.
Seven deputy US Marshals in SWAT gear showed up at his front door with guns drawn.
They said that he was under arrest and would be forced to sign a payment plan agreement if he wished to get out of jail.
Texas Congressman Gene Green explains that the federal government has been doing this for a while.
